Today, we’re thrilled to announce the release of TabsPrompt v0.14, a release packed with features designed to make you faster, more organized, and more in control of your browser than ever before.

Let's dive into what's new!

Effortless Organization: Search, Group, and Drag & Drop

Finding and organizing tabs should be intuitive. With this update, we’ve supercharged our core organizational tools.

1. Search & Group on the Fly

Instantly filter through dozens of open tabs by typing a keyword. Once you've found the tabs you're looking for, select them all with a single click and bundle them into a named group. It's the perfect way to cluster related tasks, like "ChatGPT Conversations" or "Q3 Project Research," in just a few seconds.

2. Find Similar Tabs

Have a couple of related tabs but know there are more hiding somewhere? Use the new "Find Similar" button next to any tab, and we'll instantly highlight other open tabs from the same domain, allowing you to group them in a snap.

3. Intuitive Drag & Drop

Simply drag any ungrouped tab and drop it directly into an existing group. Move tabs between windows simply by dragging them

Fly Through Your Tabs with Keyboard Shortcuts

For our power users, this one’s for you. We’ve introduced keyboard shortcuts so you can manage your tabs without ever leaving the keyboard.

Open the TabsPrompt window with ⌘ + ⇧ + K (or Ctrl + Shift + K on Windows/Linux) and take control:

  • Navigate: Use the Up and Down arrow keys to move through your tabs.
  • Switch: Press Enter to immediately jump to the selected tab.
  • Select: Use the Spacebar to select one or more tabs for bulk actions.
  • Group: Press g to instantly group all selected tabs and give the new group a name.

This keyboard-first workflow is designed to keep you in the zone and minimize distractions.

Get More Context with the New Detailed View

Sometimes, a title isn't enough. In our settings, you can now enable the "Detailed tab view" to get richer information at a glance.

This new view shows you:

  • The Domain of the page.
  • The time since the tab was last accessed.
  • The total time you've spent on that tab.

This extra context helps you prioritize, identify stale tabs, and understand your browsing habits better.

From Clipboard to Organized Tabs in a Click

Have you ever been sent a list of links in an email or message? Instead of opening them one by one, you can now import them directly into TabsPrompt.

Simply copy a block of text containing one or more URLs, and TabsPrompt will automatically detect them. You'll then have two powerful options:

  1. Create Tab Group: Instantly open all the URLs as new tabs, neatly organized into a new, named group. This is perfect for starting a research session or restoring a set of work-related pages.
  2. Create Archive: Save the list of links to your archive collection without opening them. This is ideal for creating "read later" lists or saving resources for a future project, keeping your current workspace clean and focused.
