Chrome makes you group tabs by hand
Chrome has tab groups. It just makes you build them yourself, one drag at a time. Right-click, name, pick a color, drag each tab in. Fine for ten tabs, tedious past thirty, ignored past sixty.
Chrome tab grouping is a good feature buried behind a chore. TabsPrompt's Organize Browser removes the chore.

Every relevant ungrouped tab across every open window ends up in a labeled Chrome tab group. Labels describe what the tabs are about (PRs, docs, apartment hunting), not the domain they came from.
