TabsPrompt introduces TabsPrompt AI — a new way to manage your browser tabs using natural language.
Describe what you want to do, and the AI figures out which tabs match. Group tabs by topic, close old ones, archive videos for later. No clicking through menus or dragging tabs one by one.
Organize tabs with natural language
The new TabsPrompt AI interface accepts plain-text commands. Type what you want — "group my shopping tabs" or "close everything from last week" — and TabsPrompt runs it against all your open tabs.
This works well for research projects where you have dozens of tabs open across different sites. Instead of manually sorting through them, you describe the grouping you want and let the AI match tabs to your intent.
Group tabs by topic, not just domain
Most tab managers can only group by URL or domain. TabsPrompt AI groups by what the page is actually about.
In the example below, we type "group shopping tabs." The AI finds Lego, food delivery sites, and clothing stores — recognizing they're all shopping-related even though they're on completely different domains.
Example prompts for grouping:
- "Group all social media tabs" — bundles Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn together
- "Group tabs about React development" — gathers documentation, GitHub repos, and tutorials
- "Group travel planning" — combines flight searches, hotel bookings, and maps
Close or archive tabs based on usage patterns
TabsPrompt AI can also filter tabs by when you last used them or find duplicate tabs. This is useful for cleaning up tabs that have been sitting idle.
Type "Close all duplicate tabs and the AI shows you a list of duplicate tabs. Review them and close with one click.
Example prompts for cleanup:
- "Close tabs I haven't used in 3 days" — clear out old tabs from earlier in the week
- "Archive all YouTube videos" — save your watch list without keeping tabs open
- "Close all duplicate tabs" — remove accidental double-opens
Try the new AI commands and see what works for your workflow.
